OSLO RUNWAY and Collective Oslo Fashion Art Festival launches FUSHION
– a three-day festival, 28th -30th of August
Oslo Runway has through seven seasons experienced growth in both size and demand from press, influencers and consumers, both nationally and internationally. The arena is currently the biggest platform for the showcasing of Norwegian Fashion, in Norway. Since August 2018, the Oslo Runway team has focused on further developing a forward-looking platform with the intent of generating the most value for the Norwegian fashion industry, and reaching the consumer to a greater extent.
Collective Oslo Fashion Art Festival is a groundbreaking arena and an important event for art in Norway. Last year, the festival had more than 23 000 visitors and a digital reach of 7 million people.
Today’s consumer communicates and engage in a new way, through: fashion, art, lifestyle and music. These industries are now united in FUSHION, a three-day festival that takes place from the 28th to the 30th of August in Oslo, Norway. FUSHION wants to shed light on the new dialogues between designers and artists who form the new boundaries of fashion today. Their uncompromising vision and newfound freedom are at the heart of what FUSHION is all about. Press and consumers are invited to attend various activities where the goal is to engage, inspire, challenge and motivate.
“Since the launch of the COLLECTIVE FASHION ART FESTIVAL (formerly known as: Uncontaminated) in 2015, we have inspired and provoked along the tightrope between fashion and art. Now, with the launch of FUSHION as a collaboration with OSLO RUNWAY and the harmonization between two strong platforms, we look forward to the road ahead as a meeting point for innovation and growth.”, says Hilde Pettersen Reljin, founder of Collective.
FUSHION will continue to be a traditional show arena for Norwegian fashion designers, but in addition, we will launch a festival program consisting of exhibits, events, talks, music, launches and parties at the main location as well as different destinations throughout the city center of Oslo.
“OSLO RUNWAY is excited about this new collaboration with the COLLECTIVE OSLO FASHION ART FESTIVAL. COLLECTIVE has positioned itself as a strong festival arena in the fashion and art fields of Oslo. I have no doubt that this decision will gather the industry and lead to growth for everyone,” concludes Ditte Kristensen, founder of OSLO RUNWAY.
Ticket sales and the first part of the program will be released August 1st.
